On August 28, 1991 a jury convicted Jason Buie of Murder,[Footnote 1] Conspiracy to Commit Murder,[Footnote 2] and Arson[Footnote 3] in the Randolph Circuit Court.[Footnote 4] On September 25, 1991, Judge Stohler sentenced Mr. Buie to sixty years on the murder count, twenty years on the conspiracy count, and twenty years on the arson count. He also ordered that the sentences be served consecutively for a total term of imprisonment of one hundred years. Mr. Buie now appeals all three convictions.
